here's the prologue to my original fantasy adventure book! one day, I'll market this book as "Six of Crows in the Shire", until then, it's just mine, and now a little bit yours. Enjoy!
I haven't got this feeling from reading a fantasy book in so long, but my inner child has been searching for it. That feeling of whimsy and escapism; safety wrapped up in sunlight or under a blanket of the stars. I haven't thought about it in years but reading this made me think about Every Soul A Star by Wendy Mass. It was my favorite book while I was in late elementary/early middle school and I'll never forget the feeling when I read it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful writing and storytelling. I can't wait to read more as it comes <3 <3
Wowowow! thank you so so much for this thoughtful comment, it truly means the world to me when people connect to my writing. THANK YOU so so much for this!! ✨🩷
I don't know what to say. This made me feel so many things. I could say that the writing/worldbuilding is luscious & delicious & immersive in the best way (which it is). But what I really want to say is that this story made me so emotional because my big brother's name is Tristan. He passed away six years ago it still hurts to read and spell out his name. But this time, it feels like a hug reading it. Because I imagine that this story is us in an alternate universe. Everyone always said he was full of sunshine. And I'm the ferocious one. I like to imagine that he would narrate me like this. God that makes me tear up. I hope I'm not oversharing, but I just wanted to let you know that reading this chapter moved something deep within me. I hope you don't mind that I will probably hold onto these characters and this story for dear life. It sure has got the stuff to be a classic for generations of gentle-hearted spirits to come, I mean it <3
Sydney, thank you for this beautiful and heartfelt comment, it truly means the world to me. I am so happy to share these characters with you and I hope you are able to hold onto them and love them as much as I do.
also, I think it's important to say, my little sister's name is Sydney 🩷 thank you again for leaving this comment!
I usually don't comment (shy) but as someone who also writes I felt the need to tell you how much I liked this. Your writing is so vibrant!! Reading this gave me the feeling I remember from reading my favourite fantasy books when I was a kid, which is a feeling I haven't had in a while. I'm on tenterhooks until the next update!
Holy cow! You had me at ‘prologue’. The beginning of a best-selling series, methinks.
this is the highest of compliments! thank you so much!!!
